What inspired your career journey?
I have been a florist for 22 years but my direction into bespoke weddings and events work came when i had two retail outlets which I had lots of work from. I quickly realised I was very good at planning and logistics. I wanted to give all my time to weddings and events to provide an excellent service and to be able to create the most fabulous wedding floral designs. I just love the journey of a wedding, meeting the couple, making their dreams come true and making lovely friends for life.
What are your trend predictions for 2016?
Lots of hanging designs from scented floral ceilings to flower chandeliers.
Do you live by any motto or philosophy?
Lots but here are a couple; You're never fully dressed without a smile. Its nice to be nice.
What would your best piece of advice be for someone beginning his or her planning journey?
To remember how important all the senses are when planning your event, so get an amazing look with flowers and styling, add scent which makes your wedding very memorable. Really work with the taste buds with food and drink, live music and add textures with linens.
What's your favourite season, why?
Spring, as i love seeing the new bulbs which means summer is on the way. I also love the blossom trees and the spring flowers.
