What inspired your career journey?
I started my stationery journey as an apprentice on the workshop floor, learning the art of gilt and colour edging. Time passed and I wanted to try my hand at die-stamping, knowing that this was the pinnacle of the art of printing. Being a perfectionist, I was happy spending years honing the craft, producing beautiful suites of engraved stationery until the opportunity arose to run Leeming Brothers. I now do so with a keen eye for detail, and have found the hands on experience I learned in the workshop invaluable. I am dedicated to his role and strive to make every client feel as important as the next. I am currently training to become a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers.
What are your trend predictions for 2016?
Bontanicals and pastel colours. People seem to be moving away from standard whites and going for pastel pinks and greens. Complimented by metallic tones and floral designs.
Do you live by any motto or philosophy?
There are always two choices. Two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it’s easy.
What would your best piece of advice be for someone beginning his or her planning journey?
It sounds cliche, but always work as hard as you can. The more time and effort you put in, the more you will get out of your chosen path. Every time. It may mean you have to sacrifice a few things, but in the long run it will always be worth it.
What's your favourite season, why?
Autumn. Wrapping up warm in big coats and boots, but it's still warm enough to enjoy the evenings without it getting dark too early.
P.S and just for reference, what's your favourite word in the English language?
