What inspired your career journey?

Amara wedding list service was launched in 2012 offering a bespoke service which was inspired by demand from our loyal client base.

What are your trend predictions for 2016?

Interior trends are always in the forefront of our buying team’s minds when on their worldwide visits to source the best and varied products that the interior world has to offer. This year the metallic trend has continued to grow along with natural products such as cork & marble and organic shapes inspired by nature such as hive shaped shelves.

Do you live by any motto or philosophy?

Amara is all about offering the best possible service at all times which is reflected in our customer services Feefo report which we manage to keep at 98% From a gift list perspective it is our flexibility to offer to our clients not only unsurpassable access to the world’s top interior brands but also the chance to alter and change any gifts. We stock all our products so when our customers are ready to close their list we can re-evaluate what has been bought; remembering that ultimately the total amount spent is the couple’s choice to spend as they wish at Amara.com!

What would your best piece of advice be for someone beginning his or her planning journey?

I would advise to a gift list of some sort in place before you send your invitations out to avoid unnecessary questions. Regardless of what you may think your guests will always want to give you a gift so avoid those unwanted tablecloths and toasters and tell them exactly what you do want offering them plenty of choice covering a range of price points to cater for young friends as well as your boss!

What's your favourite season, why?

I love all seasons in their place – which is why I love the UK!

P.S and just for reference, what's your favourite word in the English language?

That is really tricky – so many wonderful words! Tweed?
