What inspired your career journey?
I was seven when I discovered the world of beads at an italian market. My passion for beads and pretty natural objects came alive whilst beach combing on family holidays, searching for fragments of sea glass, shells, stones and transforming works of art. My worldwide travel has led to building up a vast collection of beads and semi-precious stones, in endless varieties from across five continents inspiring the creation of Jamie London, which was created just over 10 years ago. Having moved to london with my young family from abroad, I wanted to use my creative energy and business mind. I started creating pieces from findings, beads and jewellery I had sourced. From these components I created new and trend led pieces. The jewellery was attracting an overwhelming response. People loved what i was creating. The biggest breakthrough for Jamie jewellery was getting into London Fashion Week. Being stocked in Liberty was always a dream, from the first time I had entered the awe-inspiring Liberty Jewellery room. My real passion lies in designing beautiful bespoke pieces for clients, to suite their individual style, I love that an accessory can pull together an outfit, giving women the chance to feel beautiful and unique.
