What inspired your career journey?
I grew up in a food-filled family environment and became obsessed with watching my grandparents cook traditional middle eastern cuisine native to India where they came from. After following and idolising tv chefs such as Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes, my passion for food and cooking grew and grew as I got older. This eventually led to my decision to go to culinary school which paved the way for a career in food.
What are your trend predictions for 2017?
Street food is becoming increasingly popular these days. It's often the true representation of any countries food heritage and standard, so keeping up with street food styles at professional level is important for any food business. Mexican and Korean are both on the rise.
Do you live by any motto or philosophy?
Either put everything into your craft, or cruise along and wait for it to drag you into the ground before achieving success
4.What would your best piece of advice be for someone beginning his or her planning journey?
Passion is the key. Talent cannot be maximised without the love and dedication in what you do. Without passion, prepare to put a short expiry date on your journey to success
What's your favourite season, why?
Autumn. My favourite type of food has got to be hearty and substantial, and full of rich meat and vegetables. Are there many better marriages of food such as sticky, caramelised root vegetables with the very best game this country has to offer? Autumn is truly a dream month for writing my menus for clients.
P.S and just for reference, what's your favourite word in the English language?
